4th Job Shadowing<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

In August 2019 the 4th Job Shadowing took place in Reggio Calabria (Italy): two
\nvolunteers from Centro Urbes (Peru) and Global Unity Sumak Kausay (Mexico)
\nexperienced the sustainable projects, initiatives and partners that surround the Southern
\nItalian area, discovering its green traditions in different aspects.<\/p>\n

The weekly agenda has been implemented by combining residential shadowing
\nmoments, partners\u2019 visit and discovering the entire Metro city patrimony and
\nsustainable plans, especially those oriented to a \u201ckm 0\u201d approach and which support
\nlocal development and strategic territorial development.
\nJob Shadowers could meet representatives of the Metropolitan City introducing the
\n\u201cReggio in bici\u201d project as well the artistic exhibition at Pinacoteca Civica regarding
\nagricultural and pastoral life, as well they could experience fishery traditions in the
\nbeautiful town of Scilla and listening to techniques of sustainable, old methods that
\nfishermen adopt not to hurt the marine environment.
\nAnother special moment has been related to the strategic development which
\nEuroDemos undertake on the Park d\u2019Aspromonte and its initiatives – also kids and
\nyouth are taking part. As well they could meet the citizens and sustainable approaches
\nof Bova Marina and Bova Superiore, 2 towns connect by the historical communities of
\n\u201cGreci di Calabria\u201d who aims to preserve their linguistic and agricultural patrimony.
\nAnother visit included plantations and windmills structures in the mountains, and which
\nhelp reducing costs and making life easier.
\nWe also could introduce our local partners, as for example PM Open Lab, a full youth
\nlaboratory made of young entrepreneurs adopting sustainable systems to build and
\nrebuild society. Apart of it, the University Mediterranea was introduced, and our young
\nTeam at the headquarters.
\nThey had an intensive Job Shadowing, full of experiences and collaborative plans which
\nwe hope they will take inspiration from for applying in Peru and Mexico.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can compare the vision between the European countries and Latin American ones
\nregarding sustainable energies, and how to make a future development plan in which
\nwe no longer depend on the hydrocarbons, and in which we can act very eco
\nsustainable.\u201d. \u2013 Diego, Peru<\/p>\n
